So.. we’re back! I truly have missed this creative outlet, and with that I also need to remind myself, to keep connected with of all the things we are passionate about and the little things that make us happy. I feel inspired by change and always looking forward.

Having said that, tImes are ever changing, the way we shop, the way we discover things, and it seems increasingly difficult to actually go out and discover new talents and keep fresh, when everything is at our fingertips via this worlwide web. Therefore it is evident that Alessandro Michele, creative director of Gucci , had his finger on the pulse when he launched “Gucci Vault“, in 2021, an online concept, that is a treasure trove of both vintage and new pieces from designers he has personally curated, as well as Gucci and other vintage pieces collected from around the globe. This experimental site is a fresh and exciting new platform that is constantly being updated with limited edition as well exclusive items from emerging designers, as well as some our our favorites. More and more, self expression in fashion turns to the mix of eclectic pieces, old and new, and that’s why this platform is so special right now.

“In my mind, I always had the idea to create a place in constant evolution where ‘impossible’ conversations between objects from different origins, creators, and eras could take place: central figures in a dialogue between past and present, able to spark future inspiration. I said to myself: ‘Why can’t a fashion house with a creative director also have a space for expressive, aesthetic, and social contaminations?’. I created it using the most befitting medium of our time – a place where all of us can go — the web. And there, we concocted a laboratory; a mine of ideas, oddities, and unlikely encounters, considering that Gucci is a platform for gatherings of characters who seemingly have nothing in common. Therefore, Vault is the place where wonders will hybridize and come together, giving life to new creations. Gucci’s greatest gift, in the end, is to never stay the same; to never grow old.”
